The Eyezona Story: Building an Eyewear Brand from Dhaka

Eyewear has always been dominated by a handful of European brands with huge markups. We think there is a better way to make glasses that look good, last long, and do not cost a fortune.

Eyezona started as a question: why does a good pair of glasses cost so much? The frames are plastic or metal. The lenses are glass or polycarbonate. The technology is not new. But the brand markup on eyewear is one of the highest in consumer goods.

We spent eight months researching the supply chain, talking to manufacturers, and studying direct-to-consumer eyewear brands that have been disrupting the market in the US and Europe. The answer to the question is simple: most of the cost is in brand licensing and retail markups, not in the product itself.

Eyezona is built to skip that. We design frames that are well made and properly fitted for Asian facial profiles, which most Western brands still overlook. We sell directly online to start, with plans to open physical stores in Dhaka in 2027.

Eyezona is live now at eyezona.com, with eyeglasses, sunglasses, lenses and accessories for men, women and children, delivered across Bangladesh.
